Our team is dedicated to the health and wellbeing of your beloved pets. We treat your pets the way we treat our own, and strive to ensure they live long, healthy lives. We are proud to have staff with extensive clinical experience, who are continually eager to learn and grow their skill set! We are truly a family, and most of us have worked together for many years. We would love to meet your family!
Our Story
Slaton Animal Hospital was founded in 2021, after several years of prayer, planning, blood, sweat, and yes, tears. Our building is the former VFW, and more recently, a bar and nightclub. Our reception area was actually the bar, but the remainder of the building was drastically reimagined into the hospital it is today.
Dr. Samantha Thomas wanted to create a place to reconnect with former clients/patients, welcome new patients, provide optimal lifetime care, and maintain a family-oriented environment. The clinic would strive to provide the same level of care and service as a "big city" clinic here in a small town.
Slaton was the obvious choice, as she has resided in Slaton for almost 20 years and had previously worked for Dr. Brillhart, who's clinic had closed. She also wanted to raise her children in a small town, where folks know you by name and you can immerse yourself in the community.

The team came together, comprised primarily of former co-workers and friends. Dr. Thomas wanted a team who could "hit the ground running," and who share her vision and passion for serving the community by providing veterinary services to the general public, as well as supporting local rescues, shelters, and organizations. We love our team and the people, pets, and community we serve!
